Who'd Win? ("the App") is an AI-powered battle simulation game developed by Joshua Alvarez. You type in two names, choose a battle type, and the App generates a play-by-play outcome. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how the App handles data. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with.

The App is designed to work without requiring you to create an account or provide personal information such as your name or email address. However, because the App uses cloud services and AI to generate battles, some data is processed and stored as described below.

Anonymous User Identifier. When you first open the App, an anonymous identifier is created to keep track of your battles, your daily usage, and your subscription status. This identifier is a random ID. It is not linked to your name, email, or any personal identity.

Battle Content. The names you type in and the battle results the App generates are stored so that your battle history is available to you within the App. These entries are associated only with your anonymous identifier.

Subscription Information. If you purchase a premium subscription, purchase and subscription-status information is processed through Apple (and, in the future, Google) and our subscription provider, RevenueCat, to manage your access to premium features. We do not receive or store your payment card details; those are handled entirely by the App Store.

Device and Usage Analytics. We do not use third-party advertising or analytics networks. The App relies only on the standard, aggregated analytics provided by Apple (and, in the future, Google) through their app platforms. This information is provided to us in aggregate and does not identify you personally.

We use the information above to generate battle results based on the names and battle type you enter, save and display your battle history, enforce daily usage limits and manage free versus premium access, and operate, maintain, and improve the App.

To generate battle narratives, the names you enter and the selected battle type are sent to Anthropic, our third-party AI provider, which returns the generated result. These inputs are processed to create your battle and are subject to Anthropic's own data practices. Do not enter sensitive personal information as a fighter name, as the App is intended for public figures, fictional characters, and general names for entertainment purposes.

To keep the App safe and appropriate, the names you enter are automatically screened before a battle is generated. Inputs that appear to involve minors, certain public officials, or hateful or offensive content may be blocked. This screening is automated and applies to all users.

The App relies on the following third-party services to function, and limited data is shared with them solely to provide the App's features: Supabase (secure cloud database and backend that stores your anonymous identifier, battle history, and subscription status), Anthropic (AI provider that generates battle results from the inputs you provide), RevenueCat (subscription management provider that processes and tracks your premium status), and the Apple App Store (and, in the future, Google Play) for payment processing. Each of these providers maintains its own privacy practices governing the data it processes.

Your battle history and anonymous identifier remain stored while you use the App. Because the App does not use email accounts, your data is tied to your device and your anonymous identifier. Deleting the App may result in the loss of access to your stored battle history and, in some cases, your identifier.

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The App includes automated screening intended to prevent battles involving minors.

Because the App does not collect personal identifiers such as your name or email, there is no personal account to access or delete. If you have questions about your data or wish to request deletion of data associated with your anonymous identifier, contact us at the address below and we will assist where technically possible.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of any changes.
